Learning and exploring together:

The elementary classrooms are a colorful and lively wing of the school. Each class has a primary teacher and its own classroom. The classes are kept small and the relationship between students and teachers is close.

The Thematic Approach is favoured from Nursery to Class IV. Through joyful group learning experiences, exploration, discovery and experimentation, the children learn how to learn.

They develop:

1. The basic skills of Communication viz: speaking, writing, reading, calculating and creative art.



2. The study skills of scientific and methodical learning viz: observation, classification, estimation, analytical reasoning and cause-effect relationships.



3. The social skills of wholesome interaction with their peers viz: cooperation, sharing and mutual respect.

The Curiculum:

The school offers an English medium education with English as the first language and Hindi or Bengali as the second language. In the lower classes the core subjects are Languages, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. The aesthetic sense of the child is developed through various school activities like Song, Dance and Drama, through School Assemblies, Art and Craft Exhibition and Concerts and through Drawing, Painting and Physical Exercise. Needlework, Embroidery, Clay Modeling and Doll Making will soon give way to the Culinary Art of Cooking and Home Science in the higher classes.
